چکیده

Pomegranate is a fruit with potential for exploitation in the Brazilian Northeast as medicine and food. However, qualitative quantitative scarcity of water resources common this region, requiring use high salt contents irrigated agriculture. The adoption strategies to reduce harmful effects stress plants therefore necessary, foliar nitrogen (N) fertilization promising alternative. objective work, therefore, was evaluate photochemical phytomass aspects pomegranate seedlings grown under irrigation salinity fertilization. experiment performed randomized block design, an incomplete factorial scheme, five levels electrical conductivity - ECw (0.50, 1.15, 2.75, 4.35 5.00 dS m-1) doses N (0.0, 0.33, 1.97 2.30 g L-1), totaling nine combinations, generated by Central Composite Design, four repetitions two per repetition. Foliar application at dose 1.37 L-1 increased production leaf root dry 90 days after emergence. Salt reduced activity seedlings, while there stimulus increasing up 2.3 L-1.

Modification of a maize simulation model under different water, nitrogen and salinity levels

Irrigation, salinity and nitrogen (N) are the three major limiting environmental factors inmaize yield potentials especially in arid and semi-arid regions. An integrated water and N MaizeSimulation Model (MSM) was modified for salinity conditions using 2009-2010 fieldexperiments data in southwest of Iran. Irrigation levels were: I1=1.0ETc+0.25ETc as normalleaching amount, I2=0.75I1 and I3=0.5I1...

Effects of salinity and Ca:Mg ratio of irrigation water on pistachio seedlings phosphorus planted under greenhouse conditions

Phosphorus (P) is a key element in many biological processes of plants and animals. We aimed to investigate the effect of different salinity levels and Ca:Mg ratios of irrigation water arid lands on soil available P, soluble P, and P absorbed by the pistachio plant. For this purpose, a greenhouse experiment was conducted by sowing the seeds of pistachio in a factorial randomized block design wi...

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Maize response to water, salinity and nitrogen levels: yield-water relation, water-use efficiency and water uptake reduction function

Water, salinity and nitrogen are the major factors affecting maize production in arid and semi-arid areas. The objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of different water, salinity and nitrogen levels on yield-water relationships, water use, water productivity (WP), water use efficiency (WUE) and water uptake reduction function by maize hybrid SC-704 in a semi-arid area and ...

Foliar Fertilization of Soybeans

Extensive research addressed foliar fertilization of soybeans at reproductive stages during the 70s and 80s. The soybean plant has been characterized by markedly reduced root activity during late seed development and increased translocation of nutrients and metabolites from other tissue into the seed. This depletion of nutrients from leaves could result in decreased photosynthesis, leaf senesce...
